(C11) Green Building at Scale: Accelerating Portfolio-Wide Action and Performance

The urgency of global challenges requires the green building community to accelerate action across new and existing building portfolios. In practice, this means expediting action plans, tracking actions, and verifying improvements to meet goals across whole organizations and portfolios. USGBC and GBCI released a letter about the organization's intent to move with the changing marketplace and drive transformation of the global built environment through a new approach. This session will bring together leaders in unique building types to share new tools and examples of large-scale transformation. This will include new USGBC and GBCI tools and programs to verify portfolio-level plans, actions, and performance. Leaders will share examples of on-the-ground action across large multinational property portfolios. The audience will gain understanding of the critical components of creating and implementing real action plans, prioritizing projects, sourcing service and tech providers, assessing progress, and showing success to stakeholders. Together, the session will give green building practitioners new tools and strategies to take action at an unprecedented scale.
