Scientists say the cumulative effects of continued greenhouse gas emissions could potentially trigger a climate tipping point. Most of us know what this means for the planet and for humanity and most governments, nonprofits and companies are trying to mitigate the effect. What’s lesser know is the significant – and rising - contribution of the built environment to GHG emissions, the ripple effect of water – of which climate has a major impact – as a contributor to GHG through the transport, treatment, and redistribution, waste, materials, and the list goes one.
