Senior Associate
Sasaki
NEWTON CENTER, Massachusetts
Chris focuses on the integration of ecology and culture, with a commitment to exemplary craft in the built environment. Chris led Sasaki’s Carbon Conscience research project team from 2019 to present, including advancing his research through his position as a LAF Fellow in 2023. This project included building both landscape and architectural datasets and the translation into a free and accessible design application, providing carbon metrics for planning and urban design analysis. Chris is actively applying these tools and research to projects in the USA and EU. Chris is now bringing this expertise to ASLA as the coChair of the Carbon Drawdown and Biodiversity Subcommittee. Chris believes that every project is not only a design opportunity, but an opportunity to experiment, listen, and learn.
