Vanna Whitney is a Principal with Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects. She has dedicated her career to working with under-resourced communities and designing for environmental and social sustainability. Vanna has been instrumental in advancing LMSA's affordable and supportive housing projects for low-income families, formerly unhoused people, seniors, and veterans, and is the Principal in Charge behind the Berkeley Way Apartments and the HOPE Center. She is on the board of East Bay Housing Organizations, a non-profit advocating for an economically and racially just world where housing is a human right and everyone, particularly low-income people and people of color, has access to a range of affordable, healthy, and stable homes. Vanna is Certified Green Building Professional, received her BA from University of Virginia and her March from UC Berkeley, and has more than 25 years of professional experience.
