Brian is a Professional Engineer and Deputy Director for the Office of Federal High Performance Green Buildings at GSA. He has 20 years experience in facilities, construction, and energy management and a passion for sustainability in the built environment. He manages GSA's Health in Buildings research program and acts as an advisor on topics related to workplace strategy and the future of work. These interests help develop tools and methods to enhance health in buildings, and make every project at GSA a learning experience. He is a member of the LEED V5 Technical Advisory Group for Indoor Air Quality and contributes to the ASHRAE Performance Measurement Protocol for Indoor Air Quality monitoring. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Civil and Environmental Engineering from RPI and Stanford.
