Randall Higa is the Codes and Standards Program and Building Electrification Consulting Engineer and is leading the building electrification codes strategies at Southern California Edison. Randall is also involved with the building and appliance energy codes that include both code development and compliance improvement. Prior to working at SCE, Randall worked at Sempra Energy Utilities managing various customer programs, regulatory proceedings, and energy efficiency programs and including residential and commercial building new construction programs. He began his engineering and architectural career at CTG Engineers and Albert C. Martin and Associates prior to embarking on his current utility career. Randall graduated from UCLA, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences where he studied mechanical engineering and thermal sciences. Randall is a licensed mechanical engineer in California. Randall is currently serving on the ASHRAE Task Force on Building Decarbonization Grid-Building Intersection working group and various other ASHRAE committees.
