Founder & CEO
Green Badger
Savannah, Georgia
For nearly 20 years, Green Badger’s founder and CEO Tommy Linstroth (LEED Fellow) has been dedicated to improving sustainable design and construction. His career includes driving results across private, academic, and non-profit sectors. At the helm of Green Badger, the leading SaaS developer for managing sustainable construction, Tommy is setting new standards for the built industry and accelerating environmentally responsible construction worldwide.
Ignited by his experience dealing with antiquated processes entrenched in the construction process, his innovative technology platform addresses a vital need in the global pursuit of sustainability and makes commercial environment and energy management more accessible, attainable, and effortless. Likened to what Turbotax did for preparing income tax returns, Green Badger simplifies and automates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) tracking and managing green building certification documentation, like LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Tommy supports hundreds of project teams around the world and stays up to date on thousands of construction materials and rapidly changing ESG demands. He is a frequent speaker at sustainability trade conferences, co-authored the book “Local Action: The New Paradigm in Climate Change Policy” and is a contributing author for “The Green Building Bottom Line.” He contributes to numerous journals and periodicals, including Forbes, USGBC+, and Environmental Design and Construction. Tommy was honored with “40 Under 40” awards from Building Design and Construction, Georgia Trend, and Savannah Business Journal. He also received USGBC/Savannah’s Green Leader of the Year and Savannah Generation NEXT awards, among others.
Prior to launching Green Badger, Tommy was Director of Sustainability for Melaver, Inc., and Principal of Trident Sustainability Group. He also founded and chairs Sustainativity, a nonprofit organization utilizing direct philanthropic investments in sustainability to transform communities. He is the past chair of the USGBC Georgia chapter and is the original founder and past chairman of the USGBC – Savannah Chapter. He served on the board of directors for the Georgia Conservation Voters, the Georgia Southern COST advisory board, the Chatham Environmental Forum, the Live Oak Public Libraries Board of Trustees, and Tybee Island Community Resources Committee.
