With expertise in architecture and research psychology, Tyrone Yang takes a human-centered approach towards planning and designing healthy environments for knowledge-work organizations. He currently serves on the Mind Concept Advisory for the WELL Building Standard.
His company, Entegra + Architectural Health, works with architects and owners to implement healthy and sustainable buildings, using LEED, WELL and Fitwel building standards as frameworks.
Tyrone is a licensed architect and member of the American Institute of Architects and the Boston Society of Architects, where he co-chaired the Small Practices Network. His credentials include being a WELL Accredited Professional, FitWel Ambassador and LEED Accredited Professional.
Tyrone’s academic involvement includes classes in psychology and research methods at the University of Virginia; and classes on human factors in sustainable architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology. He also worked as an affiliate researcher and course collaborator at the City Science / Changing Places group at the MIT Media Lab. Currently, he teaches Environmental Design Research at the Department of Architecture at Roger Williams University.
Tyrone graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2002. He also has a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in Psychology from Cornell University.
